Resumen

NEGRE MUNOZ, M.C.; CASTELLO PONCE, A.; GIL PITARCH, P.  y  VERDU PASCUAL, F.A.. Bloodstains?: reliability of the presumptive test. Cuad. med. forense [online]. 2003, n.34, pp.29-34. ISSN 1988-611X.

The dramatic improvement in the DNA technology research, has meant a radical change in the study of criminal evidence. Nonetheless, the success of the research depends, to a great extent, on the techniques that allow the detection and the previous study of the sample. In the work that follows, the reliability of these tests is studied on samples contaminated with various products in the laboratory and by using several guidance reagents. As a consequence of the contamination, false results are obtained, both positive and negative, and Luminol is established as the most reliable reagent. In a complementary trial the efficiency of the reagent on washed sample was checked.

Palabras clave : Forensic science; Presumptive Test; Bloodstains; Criminalistics.
