Resumen

PINHEIRO, G.M.L. et al. Globalización y proceso de trabajo en salud: el desafío de la interdisciplinaridad. Enferm. glob. [online]. 2010, n.20. ISSN 1695-6141.

Theoretical reflection which, based on many relevant authors, approaches the globalization phenomenon and its impacts on health and on the process of work in health. The interdisciplinary role stands out in the construction of new existential models. In addition, it shows that the process of work in health, throughout history, has been influenced by the socio-economic context. Nowadays, the globalization process has strong implications for the distribution and production of diseases, for the epidemiologic profile changes and the organization and investment in health services. It also records that, in the present Brazilian State, it can be noticed the coexistence of neoliberal political influences and the process of technological innovations in a globalized world, with the democratization of social politics. It was concluded that interdisciplinary work is a challenge in the field of health, but that this perspective has a great potential to bring together the process of work in health and the necessities of the population, taking into consideration the concept of health established in the 1988 Brazilian Constitution.
