Resumen

RAFECAS BARCELO, Sara. Conflicts of interest: Comment of the article 15.2 of the Universal Declaration on Bioethics and Human Rights. Rev. Bioética y Derecho [online]. 2012, n.25, pp.73-84. ISSN 1886-5887.  https://dx.doi.org/10.4321/S1886-58872012000200007.

Article 15.2 of the Universal Declaration on Bioethics and Human Rights declares that benefits should not constitute improper inducements to participate in research activities. Conflicts of interest in biomedical research, which are becoming more frequent in practice, are situations difficult to avoid. The appearance of secondary interest, not always economic, makes the main interest of the entire investigation (the patient's health and integrity) stagger, and could be avoided by exposing them publicly. That's why the job of the Ethic Committee for Clinical Research and the Codes of good Clinical Practices is so important because they establish, among other things, transparent politics to avoid these unfortunate situations.

Palabras clave : Universal Declaration on Bioethics and Human Rights; conflicts of interest; The Ethics Committee for Clinical Research; Codes of Good Clinical Practices.
