Protocol

Extract from the closing speech

It was carried out by the President of Congress, Mr. Juan José Sánchez Ramos, Brigadier General PHA, Chief of Spanish Military Medical Services.

He began his words by thanking, on behalf of the Minister of Defence and on his own, the participation of the different European delegations in the Congress and the excellent work carried out during it, despite the difficulties imposed by the current health situation.

He recognized the work carried out by the Scientific Committee, the collaboration of the Cabinet of the Undersecretary of Defence, the General Secretary of Defence Policy, the Air Force and the Military Emergency Unit, and especially the hospitality provided by CESEDEN and its staff, as well as that of the rest of the staff and organizations that had contributed to its organization and development.

He pointed out that the three words most pronounced in the days of the Congress had been cooperation, collaboration and coordination, in line with the congress motto UBI CONCORDIA, IBI VICTORIA, as a clear testimony of the vision and values shared between partners.

The congress, Gen. Sánchez Ramos emphasized, will have been a real success if in the next few years another European country organizes a second edition, keeping this forum alive and allowing us to meet again.

Finally, he highlighted the value of personal relationships to keep alive the liaison between the different EU member states.

He then proceeded to declare closed the First Military Health Congress of the European Union.
