The growth of nursing research in our setting demands bibliometric studies to highlight its impact. This study analyzed research papers published in ENE during the period 2009-2013, using a bibliometric approach. 75 research articles were analysed and results compared with a previous publication. Main results include an equal proportion of quantitative and qualitative designs; a majority of projects carried out in Spain, and the Canary Islands. International projects were developed in Latin America. There was limited institutional, regional and country collaboration. Finally, there was a shift in the topics published, now headed by basic care and fundamentals of nursing projects.
