Resumen

PARDO CREGO, Clara. Percepción de los profesionales de enfermería de atención primaria sobre la vacuna antigripal. Ene. [online]. 2015, vol.9, n.3. ISSN 1988-348X.  https://dx.doi.org/10.4321/S1988-348X2015000300004.

The seasonal influenza is an import worldwide cause of morbidity and mortality, affecting mostly to people over 65 years old or in those who are more likely to develop complications. The influenza vaccination campaigns are born with the objective of reducing the frequency of this disease in the risk groups, among which are found health professionals. A descriptive study was conducted to know the perception of Madrid's Primary Care nurses about the influenza vaccine. The 53.4% of them claimed to have been vaccinated for influenza in the 2014-2015, 96.6% participated in the patients' catchment and 62.3% developed training activities related to vaccines. One of the most prevalent causes of vaccination were the concern about having the influenza in the labor activity. Another cause is that people think it is better to be vaccinated than to fall ill because of the influenza. Among the reasons why professionals do not want to be vaccinated are the secondary effects of vaccines that they suffer before and that they prefer their natural immune system's defense. Therefore, it is necessary to know the attitudes and training about the influenza vaccine that our health professionals have, because they can act like promoting agents vaccination or like carriers of the disease.
