Introduction:

Home hospitalization (HH) has demonstrated to be an effective resource for the treatment of COVID-19 patients.

Objective:

To determine the psychological impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the HH nurses of the Hospital Clinic of Barcelona.

Methodology:

An online questionnaire was conducted in 2020 and 2021, consisting of 4 validated scales and in which 5 words were asked to define the pandemic.

Results:

There was a decrease in quality of life, insomnia and sleep aids in 2021. Both periods remained low in stress and high in anxiety and depression. The words were classified into 5 categories: organization, feelings, illness, social situation and other.

Conclusions:

The Covid-19 pandemic influenced the emotional and affective sphere of HH nursing professionals.
