Introduction. The characteristics of the information and communication technology enable the realization of life long learning to active professionals of the health sciences through the flexibility provided online training. Materials and methods. This paper shows an experience using Moodle as learning management system which was put into practice in the context of a research and development project whose aim was to design and create a virtual campus of the College of Physiotherapists of Catalonia through volunteer training course on international cooperation in physiotherapy. Results and conclusions. The opinions of participants physiotherapists provided very favorable towards virtual training. It stands out as a meeting place for professional growth, by means of online collaborative learning significant education can be constructed with no temporal of physical restrictions. Experience has shown that training ensures the acquisition of knowledge by inexperienced physiotherapists and the correction of training deficiencies in the case of experienced physiotherapists.
