RODRIGUEZ, Arántzazu; GONI, Alfredo y RUIZ DE AZUA, Sonia. Physical self-concept and lifestyles in adolescence. Psychosocial Intervention [online]. 2006, vol.15, n.1, pp.81-94. ISSN 2173-4712.
Healthy lifestyles are associated with both physical self-concept and psychological well-being, at least during the adolescence. In this study the results confirm the relation. The participants were 539 students between 12 and 23 years old. The instruments used were the Physical Self-Concept Questionnaire (CAF), a questionnaire about healthy behaviors and the Psychological Well-being Questionnaire (EBP). The results suggest different ways of orienting a psychosocial intervention in order to get both personal development and social life, from a triple connection of lifestyle, psychological well-being and physical self-concept.
