Resumen
QUEROL NASARRE, I.. Atopic dermatitis. Rev Pediatr Aten Primaria [online]. 2009, vol.11, suppl.17, pp.317-329. ISSN 1139-7632.
Atopic dermatitis (AD) is the expression of a chronic inflammatory cutaneous disease that generally begins in the early childhood. Characterised by an intense pruritus and the morphology and distribution of its injuries, it is currently a field of interest for paediatric dermatologists, paediatricians, allergists and immunologists. Its prevalence is increasing and two facts are relevant at present: the adverse effect on the quality of life of the patients and the proof that is the first sign of the atopic syndrome. The controversies in the treatment guidelines are displacing the great advances in pathophysiology, as well as the managing of AD with algorithms is displacing the art of medical treatment.
