Resumen
ROBAYNA-DELGADO, María del Cristo et al. Incidence of pressure injuries in patients admitted to and Intensive Care Unit with and without COVID-19. Ene. [online]. 2022, vol.16, n.1, 1325. Epub 19-Sep-2022. ISSN 1988-348X.
To compare the incidence of pressure injuries (PI) in patients admitted to an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) during the first three months since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic with the same period of the previous year.
Design:
Historical cohort study.
Discussion and conclusions:
The incidence of PI in ICU has been much higher in the three months since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. The COMHON Index moving average is useful for estimating whether the critical patient with COVID-19 is protected against PI. We recommend studying the factors that are related to the incidence found.
