Resumen
IRANZO GOMEZ, E. et al. Skin lesion as first manifestation of gastric adenocarcinoma. Oncología (Barc.) [online]. 2006, vol.29, n.5, pp.47-50. ISSN 0378-4835.
Skin metastases are infrequent, generally of late appearance and of very bad prognosis. They are the first symptom of cancer in 0.8% of cases. The prognosis of patients with skin metastases is worst than that for other localizations. The most frequent origin of skin metastases are lung cancer in men and breast cancer in women, followed by the gastrointestinal neoplasms. We present the case of a 63 year old patient with a cutaneous lesion that histopathology showed to be an adenocarcinoma. The workup study led to the diagnosis of metastatic gastric cancer.
