Objective: To understand the interaction between context, resources, support networks and characteristics of Medellin's young people to promote resilience. Methodology: Qualitative research, grounded theory, with 48 young people. Results: the relationship with significant others, who provide emotional support, moral guidance and personal security and the social, economic, educational, spiritual, relational resources, which is conducive from these relations and are used socially and culturally valid by young serve to promote resilience. These adults are valued by young people,in their ability to solve problems, manage resources, and set limits. Conclusion: The meaningful relationships with adults, enable the young affective and material resources, which in turn, leads to experiences that emerge resilient behaviors and learn to use them, socially and culturally valid.
