DA SILVA, Karen Pereira y MENEZES, Rafael Pombo. The offensive game of beach handball: structure and technical-tactical aspects of positional attack. CPD [online]. 2018, vol.18, n.3, pp.209-221. Epub 26-Jul-2021. ISSN 1989-5879.
The aim of this study was to identify and to analyze the structuring aspects of the offensive phase of beach handball, specifically in positional attack, from the coaches' perspective. Five coaches were interviewed (semi-structured) who participated in at least one stage of the São Paulo circuit of beach handball. Speeches were analyzed based on the Collective Subject Discourse method. The results revealed that the numerical asymmetry is the basis of the offensive game structure, induced by the presence of the goalkeeper as a court player. This player also influences the choice of offensive system. It is concluded that a) the structuring of the offensive phase occurs in a hierarchical way; and b) this study can help coaches and researchers for a better understanding of this sport.
