Introduction:

Breast cancer has a significant impact on women's lives, with manifestations that modify various aspects of their lives. It is important to interpret, through the Theory of Communicative Action, the experiences they lived and the result be a spokesperson for women with breast cancer in general; for this, it is necessary to know the subjective world of women with this disease.

General objective:

Interpret the subjective lived experiences of women with breast cancer.

Methodology:

Qualitative study with purposive sampling, in women who attended a General Hospital. The selected population was women who met the participant's characteristics. A ten-question semi-structured interview was applied. The ATLAS. ti program was used for the analysis and organization of the data. Results: In the study, 6 women were interviewed, the age of the participants was between 30 to 53 years old, 7 codes were obtained. It was obtained by a phenomenon that: when women are diagnosed with breast cancer express fear and uncertainty towards the disease. Regarding the nursing treatment, the feelings that arose were tranquility, hope, and motivation to continue with the treatment.

Conclusion:

According to these women's lived experiences in which significant changes are generated in different aspects of their lives, the accompaniment of the nursing staff is important in their process to help them go through their journey, from being diagnosed to the beginning of the treatment.
