In the present research, we have addressed the lack of a recycling program or adequate management of the separation of organic and inorganic waste in the Municipality of Xalisco, Nayarit. For this reason, it is of the utmost importance to disseminate and raise awareness among the citizens regarding the benefits of implementing waste management habits. In this study, we have surveyed the population by determining a sample of 50 people to evaluate the knowledge about the general concepts of the subject. We also aimed to create beneficial habits through the recycling and classification of garbage and thus to solve waste management problems.
