The biographical method was used to obtain the information through an in-depth interview.

Main results:

Aspects of the past, present and future appear in the informant's narrative, through which she offers keys to her identity as a person and how she feels about living in a nursing home. Key issues such as loss of control and autonomy, past experiences, death, the essence of her personal identity, as well as her lack of a sense of home appear.

Conclusion:

After a first impression of conformity with their current state, based on the analysis of the narrative, key themes appear that denote an anchoring in past and even future issues, as an evasion to face the present situation.
