Objetives: To explore the emergency nursing clinical and pharmacological practice at home with a physician on the phone. Methods: Cross-sectional study, including patients from Málaga District attended by a nurse from January 2012 to November 2014. Statitiscal study included descriptive data analysis. Results: 1569 patients were attended by the nurse. The causes were: Cervical-Back- sciatica pain (13,4%), dizziness/vertigo (9,2%), No pathology (8,8%), High/Low blood pressure (6,7%), etc. The most frequent drugs used were: Diazepam (29,6%), Diclofenaco (21,1%), Metoclopramida (18,2%), Metamizol (17,2%), Sulpiride (15,1%), etc. The clinical judgement of the nurse was critical in 33,8% of the total population attended to initiate o modify a drug prescription (previous telephonic medical contact) and in 8,3% referred for a medical or hospital examination. Conclussion: The emergency nurse at home assist many different health problems with a small variety of drugs and the clinical judgement is essential for diagnosis, treatment and referral to others professionals.
