COBOS VALDES, Dailín et al. Perception of Biological Risk in two Health Scientific Center in Holguin: cuba. Med. segur. trab. [online]. 2016, vol.62, n.244, pp.212-222. ISSN 1989-7790.
Introduction: The important perception of biological risks is being currently used to fight against the different types of conflict of human behavior. It can be also applied to resolve bigger specialization problems as technological and biological risk. The institutions with biological risk must know the worker's perception in order to organize Biosafety and in turn protect the exposed occupational worker. Both scientific institutions with biological risk belonging to the health sector in Holguin do not have this work of perception. Objective: Determining the perception of biological risk in these two centers. Materials and Methods: The perception of biological risk was determined by means of the RISKPERCEP program. The Delphi method was used for validating the inquest made according to this study. Results: The perception of biological risk in these centers was slow. This result has a special implication in Biosafety. The people don't analyze the biological risk they are exposed to, so they feel closer to the daily biorisk activities and they are more exposed to develop mistakes. The personal variables and those about the risk nature were underestimated whereas the variables of management's level were overestimated in both institutions. Conclusion: This research was very important to determine which aspects are going to be taken into account to work for regulating the underestimated and overestimated risk, which are necessary to design the capacitation's police and to prepare the prevention messages in the labour environment.
