Older adults with diabetes are conditions and needs that require more attention. An important factor in the control of this disease is drug treatment. Identify adherence and associated factors is essential to guide health teams in planning strategies that promote the improvement of metabolic control.
Objective:
To describe the level of adherence to drug treatment and its associated factors in older adults with type 2 diabetes cross-sectional study. Green Morisky test, questionnaire Family Support diabetic and family APGAR was applied.
Conclusion:
Pharmacological treatment is influenced by demographic factors to characterize this type of subject and develop strategies for better control and monitoring over time.
