Abstract

CICHOSKI, E. et al. Different bag types for analysis of forages in vitro digestibility. Arch. zootec. [online]. 2009, vol.58, n.224, pp.749-752. ISSN 1885-4494.

The objective was to evaluate the in vitro digestibilities of dry matter (DIVMS) and detergent fiber (DIVFDN) of different forage using the ANKOM® (Daisy II) ruminal fermenter, with different filters: nylon (N) and TNT (cloth non cloth) compared with the control ANKOM® (T). The DIVMS and DIVFDN averages for treatments N and TNT, overestimate the values obtained with material standard T. In such a way, comparing the efficiency of materials TNT and N, used as alternative, it was observed that they can be used in substitution of bag T, after correction through equations established in this experiment.

Keywords : ANKOM; Artificial rumen; Daisy II; IVDMD; Nylon filters; Nylon bags.
