Abstract

BAYO-BORRAS FALCON, Regina. Woman and quality of life: evaluation of the psychoterapeutic treatment. Rev. Asoc. Esp. Neuropsiq. [online]. 2002, n.83, pp.37-62. ISSN 2340-2733.

The aim of the study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the psychotherapeutic treatment over 5 groups of women (37 people), made out at several health institutions in the Barcelona metropolitan area. The study method is based on the use of a psycho-socio-sanitary questionnaire, a quality of life index (QQVD2000), and a depression test (Beck test, validated), in individual form, pre and post the group performance. The obtained results confirm the group psychotherapeutic treatment as a very effective tool for decreasing their anxiety and depression levels, with consequent reduction of their hyperfrequent assistance to sanitary services, so their medication ingest. It improves also their quality of life in a significant manner.

Keywords : Psychotherapeutic evaluation; effectiveness; quality of life; group treatment; women.
