SANZ DE ACEDO LIZARRAGA, María Luisa; SANZ DE ACEDO BAQUEDANO, María T. y CLOSAS, Antonio H.. An explanatory model regarding the relationships between psychological traits and creativity. Anal. Psicol. [online]. 2014, vol.30, n.1, pp.355-363. ISSN 1695-2294. https://dx.doi.org/10.6018/analesps.30.1.153781.
This research tested a theoretical model of the relationships between certain psychological variables and creativity. Specifically, the relationships among intelligence, personality, intrinsic motivation, creative self-efficacy, and ideational creativity were examined. This study was conducted with a sample of 180 college students (136 women and 44 men) who were evaluated with regard to the variables above in two sessions outside the regular academic schedule. The results obtained via structural equation analysis supported the model and revealed that the independent variables (intelligence and personality) and the intermediate variables (intrinsic motivation and creative self-efficacy) that comprise the proposed model influenced creativity. Furthermore, creative self-efficacy was the most significant trait associated with ideational creativity.
