YAGO-SIMON, Teresa  e  TOMAS-AZNAR, Concepción. Gender conditionings and unplanned pregnancies in adolescents and young girls. Anal. Psicol. [online]. 2015, vol.31, n.3, pp.972-978. ISSN 1695-2294.  https://dx.doi.org/10.6018/analesps.31.3.185911.

Studies about risk sexual-reproductive behaviour in young population show differences between sexes and recommend to include gender perspective. The aim of this study is to know how gender conditionings influence young women and whether there is any relationship with unplanned pregnancy. Method: Participants: 395 women between 14 and 24 years old, attending the contraception consultation. Tool: application of the questionnaire about gender conditionings in contraception (COGANT). Analysis: relationship between scores in the questionnaire, socio-demographic variables and unplanned pregnancy. Results: Gender conditionings act more in teenage, foreign and gipsy young women and with a lower level of studies. A higher score in the questionnaire and in both factors, "Inegalitarian relationship" and "Traditional gender role", is related with an unplanned pregnancy. Conclusions: It is necessary to make progress in equality and to question traditional roles to decrease unplanned pregnancies in young girls.
