Abstract
DA SILVA-JUNIOR, Valderi-Vieira and DE SOUSA-SOARES, Francis- Régis. Mastopexy with prosthesis in unique time associating the non-areolar inferior flap. Cir. plást. iberolatinoam. [online]. 2017, vol.43, n.2, pp.117-128. ISSN 1989-2055.
Background and Objective: The first description of mastopexy with implants was related by Gonzalez-Ulloa. After this, despite there were associated modifications, the techniques generate limited results and need more revisions. We describe the technique of mastopexy associated with implants to hypomasty and ptosis, in one surgical time and using the non-areolar inferior pedicled flap. Methods: We practiced mastopexy associated with round and texturized prosthesis in patients with hipomasty and ptosis, in one surgical time, and coverage, suspension and fixation with a lower pedicle flap. Results: Between 2008 and 2015, 64 cases undergone mastopexy with implants in unique time in both breasts. All of them had hypomasty and ptosis in different degrees. The age varied between 20 to 58 years. Vertical mastopexy was performed in 3 cases, and in 61 cases the incision with inverted T was recommended. In all cases we obtained good projection and adequate volume increase. Conclusions: Mastopexy with implants in one surgical time and associating an inferior non-areolar flap is indicated in hypomasty with ptosis to get a good mammary projection and long-term results.
