PEREZ SANCHEZ, Yamilet J. Facial reconstruction after severe facial trauma by gun: clinical case. Traditional approach to a classic challenge. Cir. plást. iberolatinoam. [online]. 2024, vol.50, n.2, pp.211-224. Epub 24-Jul-2024. ISSN 1989-2055. https://dx.doi.org/10.4321/s0376-78922024000200014.
The face is one of the most representative structures of human anatomy and ballistic trauma has a high destructive power, therefore, gunshot hot wound in the facial region turns out to be highly complex.
We describe the protocol for the management in three stages of a facial trauma from a multiple-load firearm in a young patient, and we highlight the value of conventional and traditional techniques for its resolution in a situation of limited economic and hospital resources.
