Abstract

GARCIA MEDINA, María Isabel; ESTEVEZ HERNANDEZ, Isabel  and  LETAMENDIA BUCETA, Paloma. The CUIDA questionnaire as an instrument to evaluate personality, and people taking care of others, guardians and mediators. Psychosocial Intervention [online]. 2007, vol.16, n.3, pp.393-407. ISSN 2173-4712.

The CUIDA questionnaire was projected as an instrument to evaluate the adoption applicants, by the IVAI, a group of psychologists working in this area. During the development of the questionnaire, the results have offered great possibilities in other fields as juridical, clinical and social, allowing the evaluation of people taking care of others, guardians and mediators. The questionnaire contents the following primary scales:, Altruism, opening, asertion, self-esteem, capacity to solve problems, empathy, emotional balance, independence, flexibility, reflection, sociability, tolerance to frustration, attachment and bereavement and the following factors of second order: Responsible care, sensibility toward the other ones and affective care and an additional factor: The aggressiveness. It is a reliable and valid instrument that is being applied in the different fields and their use is endorsed by the Community of Madrid.
