Abstract

Rarely we have the opportunity to hear the testimony health professionals who have to live everyday with the disease and meet how this experience allow acquire an extraordinary sensibility and a will and strength, much appreciated by all around her, specially the patients who are in their care. Here is the biographic account of a nurse diagnose with type I diabetes during the first course of nursing school, now thirty years ago. Her enthusiasm for having gone beyond the health problems that have appeared along her life and professional trajectory, to reflecting a special person. Her story is full of details and feelings and allows us an approximation to the battle everyday between illness and full life, without limitation.
