Introduction: Many researchers reported the Utility of Scale's Process Measurement and Adaptation coping Spanish version (EsCAPs) as well as semantic and methodological limitations, this aspect indicating that require revision. Objective: To determine the construct validity of the Scale of Measurement Process Roy Coping Adaptation of Spanish version. Methods: Methodological study. Through a mixed sample we selected four samples of people, to develop a focus group and validation of appearance, content, construct and reliability. We followed all ethical considerations for the development of human research. Results: The modified version of the scale consists of 33 items. The results show good face validity (95%), content (0.83) and reliability (0.70). In light of the variance accumulation was not possible to define a particular factorial structure. To continue with the refinement of the scale and the underlying theoretical construct.
