Abstract

Objective: The present study has the purpose of analyzing the sexuality experience and pregnancy with teenagers in situations of domestic violence. Methods: This is a qualitative research carried out in the municipality of San Francisco del Conde - Bahía - Brazil. The studied population was constituted by five pregnant teenagers, with ages between 16 and 19 years. Data analysis was performed in accordance with the Bardin analogy, resulting in three groups of thematic categories: first sexual relationship; teenage pregnancy and exposure to violence. Main results: The study indicates the early sexual initiation by women, still in their teenage years. It also emphasizes the necessity of efficient health policies for facing the lack of adhesion to contraceptive methods by teenagers in Brazil. Conclusions: Domestic violence experiences were a milestone in the lives of these teenagers and this pattern was altered with the advent of the pregnancy.
