Health professionals frequently do not realize the real magnitude of the humanized care. Here is the biographical account of a young American woman diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma while living in Spain, far away from her country of birth, friends and family environment. It was a story full of emotion and marked by overcoming. The narration shows that the behavior of professionals has a direct influence on the motivation of the patient to face the disease.
