Abstract

RIVERA-ALVAREZ, Luz Nelly  and  TRIANA, Álvaro. Construction process and validation of the Instrument Perception of Humanized Nursing Care Behaviors (PCHE-III). Index Enferm [online]. 2023, vol.32, n.1, e14246.  Epub Sep 18, 2023. ISSN 1699-5988.  https://dx.doi.org/10.58807/indexenferm20235659.

Humanized Nursing Care, as an expression of the art of caring, is characterized by establishing an eminently ethical relationship and trust in its interaction with the Other. Measuring this construct has been the objective of the Perception of Humanized Nursing Care Behaviors (PCHE) instrument. This article shows the process of construction and validation of the instrument, and its theoretical correlation with Jean Watson's philosophical approaches to human care. The PCHE instrument in its three versions has had the measurement of face and content validity. In its third version, it also included construct validity and reliability measurement, allowing the conclusion that the PCHE-III instrument is reliable and measures the characteristics associated with the phenomenon of Humanized Nursing Care.
