CASTILLO, B. et al. Phantom limb pain and intrathecal ziconotide pump: a valid combination for tolerant or refractory patients. Rev. Soc. Esp. Dolor [online]. 2011, vol.18, n.1, pp.21-23. ISSN 1134-8046.
We report the case of a 30-year-old female patient with phantom limb pain in right lower extremity refractory to oral analgesic treatment. She was referred to our Pain Unit where we decided to place a ziconotide intrathecal pump. The result was an improvement in pain that allowed the patient to regain her daily life.
