HERNANDEZ MARTINEZ-ESPARZA, Elvira and VERDU SORIANO, José. Quality assessment of the spanish clinical practice guidelines of pressure ulcers. Gerokomos [online]. 2012, vol.23, n.1, pp.30-34. ISSN 1134-928X. https://dx.doi.org/10.4321/S1134-928X2012000100006.
The spanish clinical practice guidelines (CPG) on pressure ulcers has proliferated in recent times but the quality and scientific rigor is doubted. However, it is considered as a working tool for decision making in clinical practice. Method: quality appraisal of the Spanish CPG on pressure ulcers through the AGREE instrument. Results and conclusions: the average quality of the CPG is low. The worst areas are the rigor, the participation and the applicability. There are only two areas in which more than 50% of the CPG achieve excellence: the scope and objectives and clarity. There is one CPG that stands out over the others.
