Abstract

BERMEJO HIGUERA, José Carlos; CARABIAS MAZA, Rosa; VILLACIEROS DURBAN, Marta  and  BELDA MORENO, Rosa María. Living will, knowledge and opinion that an attending population to an Alzheimer's disease workshop has. Gerokomos [online]. 2013, vol.24, n.1, pp.22-25. ISSN 1134-928X.  https://dx.doi.org/10.4321/S1134-928X2013000100005.

Objective: to collect knowledge, opinions, feelings and intentions on the living wills within a population belonging to the field of Alzheimer's disease. Design: descriptive, cross-sectional study by self compliment survey. Participants: 370 assistants to the Workshops on Alzheimer organized by a health care centre in the Community of Madrid. Conclusions: participants are positive about living wills with broad intention to formalize it. There is a developing interest in the document, however, in order to increase its completion we understand that it is necessary to work towards the creation of spaces for reflection on the living wills.

Keywords : Living wills; prior instructions; advance planning of health care; bioethics.
