The control of high blood pressure is one of the most impotant tasks of primary care (PC). The aim of this study is to determine the level of compliance of hypertension therapy in elderly adults in PC. The degree of non compliance is higher than other studies. The patients with better hypertension control were compliers. In conclusion, treatment compliance is an important problem in chronic diseases. Non compliance has been identified as the main reason for failure of hypertension therapy.
