Resumen

LORENTE-RODRIGUEZ, Miguel et al. Use of a carnosine and hyaluronic acid tulle dressing in skin tears. Gerokomos [online]. 2025, vol.36, n.1, pp.75-77.  Epub 05-Mayo-2025. ISSN 1134-928X.  https://dx.doi.org/10.4321/s1134-928x2025000100013.

Objectives:

To analyse the healing properties of a hyaluronic acid and carnosine tulle on skin tears.

Methodology:

Two clinical cases are described, in which Tulgrasum® dressing was applied to wounds. The treatment was administered every 3 to 4 days in the following order: wound cleaning, debridement of devitalized tissues and application of the dressing as a non-adhesive mesh.

Results:

Accelerated tissue regeneration and healing of both skin tears was achieved. A reduction in pain sensation was also obtained.

Conclusions:

Antioxidant, moisturizing, immunological and anti-inflammatory actions are possible healing mechanisms, provided by the hyaluronic acid and carnosine in the Tulgrasum® dressing. A greater spacing between dressings changes is proposed regarding the interval recommended in the literature.
