Abstract

Assuming like basement that in the current century the superior education constitutes an important tool with which a country can promote its development and to strengthen its national identity and self-determination, it is made a revision and analysis of its current tendencies and challenges in the countries in development -especially in those of Latin America - that allows to answer the following questions:  • Who should receive benefits from the superior education transformation process?  • Which social sectors should be the beneficiaries with a pertinent and higher quality education?
