This is a brief critical-reflective study aimed at building human beings in teamwork, recognizing their purpose in the process of nursing work. In this context, the team work in nursing is such a crystallized idea that it becomes imperative not to think of it otherwise. However, the predominant form given the variety of team possibilities, lies in the need to form cohesesive team work. The proposal of the Theory of Professional Links, as a relational and managerial tool, is useful and includes the needs of nursing teamwork within the current scenario.
