Introduction: In the last workshop in periodontics of the American Association of Periodontology in 1999, different groups of lesions were added because of it high prevalence and the impossibility of classifying them in another group, in orther to perform a correct differential diagnose. The objectives of this paper are: a) To know the impact of endo-perio lesions to make a correct differential diagnose and the best treatment strategy; b) To know the conditions and malformations that can appear in the periodontal tissues. Materials, Methods and Results: For the preparation of this work, 17 articles published in international and national scientific journals have been analyzed. The MEDLINE and Cochrane databases have been used to make the search.
