Short dental implants, with the passage of time and advances in implantology, have become astandard treatment in clinical practice. The need to reduce intraoperative time, morbidity and economic costs, linked to the increasing demand for implant rehabilitation in patients with a range of growing old (elder patients) makes it necessary to add the min our rehabilitative implantology options. For this reason, it is important to know its advantages and disadvantages, to set up thesurgical protocols and to select the patients correctly.
