This article aims to analyze the ideas, imaginaries and metaphors around health and disease that appear in the open television unit Medical History (2012). Through the health-disease trajectories of the characters featured in the television program are proposed the following topics-problems: doctor-patient relationship; medical and political relationship; biomedicine versus folk medicine; dignified death and emotions as part of medical history. These axes are described and analyzed taking as a focus certain situations or episodes. In this way, it reflects on the importance of contextualizing each character historically, socially and individually to realize the complexity that the health-disease trajectory requires.
