Diseases have much more implications than just morbidities. The way how they are perceived by the society and individuals has a great influence on the actions that are taken and on the relationship between health professionals and patients. Accurate information and dialogue are not only crucial for patients choosing freely among different options but for a better understanding as well, both of the disease and the human being behind.
