This article introduces a general thesis on bioethics, outlining the underlying tensions, such as the relationship between technology and social customs. This consideration of the bioethics problem seeks to broaden the concept of Fundamental Bioethics (understood within a clinical context), to highlight the critical nature that should be found at the basis of its reflection. Finally, a link will be established from this basis to the clinical field, where Bioethics has had its most important application, to emphasize its social value.
