Knowledge representation on the care, specifically about the structure and language of professional models, has been studied in many investigations (1) (2). This interest can be linked in Spain to legislative changes in nursing diagnosis, which recognize that competence (3) and its obligatory inclusion in the clinical record. (4) Under this framework, a research (5) built an expert system to automate the process of triangulation Taxonomy (6) was performed. As a first step to achieving this goal, it was necessary to explain the representation of Nursing Care Process (NCP) (5) for computer implementation. As a result of this investigation a new conception of professional model was developed from the perspective of clinical knowledge: The Cycle of Care.
