Background: An important part of men who have sex with men are infected with multiple types of human papillomavirus, in greater proportion to the types 16 and 18, cause 80% of anal cancers. Objectives of this study are assess if gay men could benefit from vaccination against human papillomavirus, describe the acceptability of the vaccine and know the national immunization programs including this group of risk. Methods: A systematic review is made in PubMed. Conclusions: Gay men could benefit from vaccination programs against human papillomavirus, in a big extent in those countries where only girls are vaccinated.
