The analysis from philosophy, language and nursing of the human being and care points the need for balance for its functioning and development. No action of care can be carried out in a nonstop way, so there must be a balance and alternation between them.

The objective was to identify the balance as a motor of care. The methodology was deductive type based on the extraction of knowledge formalization and eduction by group of experts.

Two types of balance in care were identified. The antagonistic model has with two elements related to each other inversely. In synchronic model where each element is placed on a different axis there is a transformation between kinetic and potential energy.
