The university protection of nursing has led to a significant advance of research in the last decade. The achievement of the degree of Doctor, is already possible for the nurses. This will give more support to the research nurse, but the road is not free of obstacles. Among them: the characteristics of the nursing professional, the characteristics of the documents that present the results of the research, the characteristics of the organizations, the high care pressure, the scarce funding for research and the medicalization of health care.
