Abstract

JIMENEZ CASTELLANOS, Tamara. ¿Es necesaria la aspiración en la administración intramuscular de vacunas?. Ene. [online]. 2018, vol.12, n.1, 723.  Epub Nov 16, 2020. ISSN 1988-348X.

The technique of intramuscular injection in the administration of vaccines is a highly recurrent practice in primary care nursing consultations. The aspiration prior to vaccination administration is a conflict in the health care area. To establish the need or not to aspire during immunization, a systematic review was carried out during the period of October 2017, using identified academic databases. Eight studies were included. It can be concluded that the use of aspiration technique for immunizations is unnecessary.

Keywords : aspiration; intramuscular injections; vaccines.
