Abstract

Quality of life has become an important concept in the field of informal care in recent years. However, there is still a lack of consensus about its definition. Therefore, it is necessary to clarify the concept to assist health care professionals develop effective interventions that improve the quality of life of the caregivers. The four principles of Morse´s framework concept analysis were chosen to evaluate the concept (epistemological, logical, pragmatical and linguistical). The results show that quality of life is an immature, multidisciplinary and subjective concept.
